Sooo, yup. This is a thing.
What is this thing, exactly? Why, it's my application for joining ~! Because I've always wanted to try out an rp group - and this one seems to have quite a few neat characters and an interesting story to work with~! I'm a bit excited to see how it will work out~!

Aaanyway, this group is one of the two main reasons that my new girl, Hollow, exists~!
 I know that this profile is an absolutely terribly written rough draft - especially her back story portion - but I plan to revise it a bit, later on. As is, I hope it's enough to get me started, at least!   I guess we'll see what the verdict is.

Personality

    Personality: Hollow is a shy, yet excitable young woman who has grown up with great admiration for technology and the wonders it can accomplish - most specifically with computer sciences, something she naturally gravitates towards and excels at. She will often prefer to interact with the holograms that she programs, rather than people, although this fact doesn't make her an unfriendly individual - in fact, she loves to meet new people and make friends, she is often just too nervous about embarrassing herself in front of them, as she isn't the smoothest of speakers and feels her hobbies wouldn't interest many others. However, this doesn't keep her from being a positive and driven young woman as she tries her best to seem like a good person.
Having grown up in a hard-working environment at home, even before she became a soldier, Hollow has learned to be both well-mannered and disciplined. She often thinks before she speaks, so as not to offend anybody, avoiding the use of swears, if she can. Her disciplined nature has helped her to become a top-ranked Sharp-shooter among her fellow soldiers, in addition to furthering her drive towards her technological innovations . Her happiest moments are when she's working on programming a new holographic "toy" for her to play with, since, for all her maturity, she's still a child at heart. Although there isn't much to watch in Mobius's current state, she enjoys what little tv is available, especially cartoons. She also likes to read web comics, collect old toys and spare parts that she finds littered in the streets, sometimes, and play games, which is why most of the holograms she creates are used for entertainment.
On the battlefield, Hollow is capable of handling herself excellently, in a brief firefight, but is too physically weak and/or  under-equipped to endure a long one. This works fine for Hollow, as she would rather avoid a fight, if she can. These facts, accompanied with a brilliant strategic mind, quick reflexes, adaptability, and a vast knowledge of a variety of technological creations and computer equipment/programs makes her valuable as a scout.
Being a kind and caring individual, Hollow doesn't actively seek to kill any opponent she encounters, though if the situation calls for her to do so, she has no hesitation about doing so. Unless the opponent in question is trying to kill her, she will only shoot to wound... Though, if the right person was able to talk to her about killing a harmless opponent and/or an innocent victim, chances are she would do it.

    Strengths:
Her resolve and determination are her strongest assets - she believes in the Legion's ability to save Mobius from its terminal fate.
Sharp-shooter with her twin pistols
  She has a good mind for impromptu battle strategy, capable of setting up quick traps with what little she has available to her.
Her creativity and intelligence, which mostly comes out in the holograms she creates for various tasks - her most notable creations are her Tri-Shield Gauntlet, wrist holo-computer, scanners of various sorts, a radar, and her "Third Eye" holographic mobile camera.
    Weaknesses:
Her relative innocence and naivete often makes her blind to the bigger truth of things
Even with her combat training, she is fairly weak in physical confrontation. She doesn't have the physical strength or endurance for an extended fight, relying mostly on her Tri-Shield for defense.
Without her glasses, all she can see of the world is a hazy blur - she carries a spare pair in her satchel, in case her original set gets broken.
Consumption of any kind of meat will make Hollow sick, as she is unable to digest such things - hence why she sticks to a strict vegetarian diet.
If a person she has a crush on is present around her, she will lose complete focus on her objective to focus on that individual, if the task is mundane. If her crush approaches her, her face will grow beet-red and her mannerisms will become dramatically over-exaggerated - during this time, she can't pay attention to anything except what the person is saying/doing
    Fears:
She tends to become unsettled and sets herself on-edge if she doesn't have at least one of her devices on her, at any time - she feels very unsafe and unprotected without anything electronic around her
She has a distinct fear of flying - she would rather travel by land than by air, as she doesn't trust air vehicles to hold together.
    History/Backstory:

Hollow Graham was born into a small family in her home, New Haven, a poverty-stricken community surviving in the wreckage of a city thousands of years old. There were scant few resources available to the small community, as the site had been scavenged and picked clean in the time since the Great War. All that remained were the husks of skyscrapers where New Haveners made their homes and a small oasis in the center - what must have once been a city park, far over-grown after milennia without caretakers and the only source of clean water and fertile farming land to the hundred or so living there.

Even as a young girl, Hollow had always had a fascination with machinery, something that was a rare functional sight in New Haven. The few vehicles available in the community were used to gather water from the oasis, or to go out into the forest wilds outside the ruined city to find food, and the only other time Hollow was able to see such things were when the occasional visitors from other towns and cities out in the world would bring goods to trade in the humble little town - radios, power generators, lights, water purifiers, ovens, washing devices... Even the occasional remains of ancient robots passed through for little Hollow to see. She was always curious about how such devices functioned... So, for her twelfth birthday, her mother managed to trade for a little solar-powered handheld computer as a present for the young girl. Wide-eyed and excited about the little device, the girl soon discovered that it held many, many programs that taught a person how many varieties of machines functioned, as well as how to build and program them. It was this find that gave the ecstatic young girl a life-long passion for all technology - a passion that would ultimately lead her to discover her latent programming talents, as she continued to build amazing new devices from salvaged scrap, throughout her teenage years.

... However, despite her discovery of her talents over the years, things were beginning to take a sour turn for the already-poor community... Hollow's father, an ex-Naval officer who was one of New Haven's leading members, would come home agitated and concerned... Resources were beginning to dwindle to an all-time low. Food was growing scarcer and scarcer as the forest outside the ruins was beginning to decay at an increasing rate, for seemingly no reason. Her father's concern was soon spread to young Hollow, now fifteen years of age, who felt that it was her responsibility to start helping her father and the rest of the community in their responsibilities and join the gathering parties. At first, Hollow's family showed concern, as the forest was a very toxic place to go, due to the centuries of pollutants it had absorbed, with many dangerous inhabitants... But, soon enough, Hollow's father reluctantly agreed that they needed the extra hands, taking it upon himself to train his daughter to survive in the forsaken wood - including her introduction to the use of a pistol.

As it turned out, Hollow was perfect for the task of exploring the depths of the forest. Her budding mechanical abilities paid off in the form of traps that were perfect for catching meat, as well as Harvesters that were capable of gathering fruits and vegetables with rapidity. It was around this time that she had created her wrist holo-computer, her first few programs being maps of the forest, as well as a variety of movement trackers, poison detectors, and even a "Third Eye" - a holographic camera that allowed her to look around the forest floor without having to be in the physical vicinity - though it only worked out to a range of 50 feet. With her help and technological additions, the small community was able to collect enough food and seeds for planting crops in New Haven's slowly-growing oasis garden to become self-sustaining, once more. Even with the forest slowly dying away around them, New Haven's residents would have plenty to feed off of for decades to come!

Upon the arrival of her 18th birthday, to celebrate all that she had done to help the small community survive, the people came together and managed to acquire a scrapped-together old jeep that was to be all her own. Her joy was overwhelming and she couldn't be thankful enough at the community's generosity. Urged on by all the familiar faces and friends she had known all her life, she took her family out on a drive, feeling the freedom of being able to go anywhere she had wanted...!

... For the first time, her eyes were opened up to the rest of the world. And little did she know, that it was on the verge of a great change. Having her own personal vehicle, which she nicknamed "Puma," Hollow learned about other surrounding communities and townships and how they functioned. There were many new things to see, machines she had never before seen in operation, within her poor community... And even whole, fully-functional robots! She would spend weeks at a time, away from home, learning about all kinds of new tech in the world...!

... During her travels, though, she learned about how truly bad the state of Mobius had been. The more she experienced out in the world, the more she learned of how Mobius used to be, in the distant past - a green world, where food was never an issue, where forests weren't poisoned by the pollutions of a war zone... And the ancient hero who fought to protect the world and keep it a safe, green place to live. She heard rumors of one who had uncovered the secrets of an ancient factory - the secret to rebuilding Mobius's former glory through the use of machinery and robots! She knew what it was like to grow up in the hazardous conditions of modern-day Mobius - she had grown up with it, faced it. She felt it was her duty to track down this individual who claimed to know how to help Mobius regrow and help them do so!

... However... For a time, she had no such luck finding this person. Months into her search, she was beginning to think that this had all just been a rumor, after all, and that nobody had the secrets to rebuilding the planet... That was, until she had learned about the Legion and what it was said to stand for.

Hollow made no hesitation in her decision to make her way to the Legion's capitol city, learning all she could about its leader, Angus, and his goal to unite Mobius under his banner, before joining the ranks, firmly believing that they were the only chance at salvation Mobius had remaining. Her past life experiences in survival, formal combat training, and willingness to fight against the dissident Rebels who thought that the Legion was only a gathering of evil  that wanted to destroy what good remained on Mobius were all she needed to feel committed to her cause.  Her abilities, marksmanship, and technological aptitudes make her a quick favorite for recon missions, or recovery operations.

    - She has named her pistols "Honey" and "Bumble," due to their coloration being similar to that of bees.
    - She has no idea that the Legion is, in fact, the villainous faction in the war - she is convinced that Angus's agenda is for the good of Mobius.
